Gap Year Eligibility Requirements

DCIM100GOPROGOPR2574.

Our Gap Year & Semester Courses are the perfect opportunity to get away and spend time for yourself, learn about the world around you, gain leadership and outdoor skills, become more decisive and responsible, and push the limits to discover your capabilities and passions.

You do not need any Spanish language experience, any previous outdoor certifications, and you do not need to be an athlete or even physically “fit” to participate in an Outward Bound Costa Rica course. However, you must have a willingness to learn, engage and grow on an incredible experiential education adventure through the rainforest, rivers, and reefs of Costa Rica and Panama.

Eligibility Requirements

The following are requirements to attend a Gap Year & Semester Course with Outward Bound Costa Rica:

  • Must be at least 17-years-old
  • Must have graduate high school
  • Must have a willingness to learn, engage and grow

Code of Conduct

When you decide to attend an Outward Bound Costa Rica course, you must submit an Enrollment Form and verify that you will abide by our standard Code of Conduct. This is to ensure a safe environment on course. If a participant breaches the Code of Conduct, the participant may be subject to termination of course without refund. The following are requirements to attend a Gap Year & Semester Course with us:

Again, this Code of Conduct is for the safety and well-being of our participants, staff, local and global communities.
